Department: 34408 Carolinas Medical Center - Nursing: Med Surg 10A Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule: 3, 12‑hour day shifts per week Holiday rotation Weekend rotation 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Pay Range: $38.20 – $57.30 Where You Will Work: 10A is a medical telemetry unit that provides 24‑hour care to the adult population. This 24‑bed unit has private rooms, 16 of which have negative pressure features, and is the only non‑ICU unit to take vented patients. Patients are admitted with acute medical and/or surgical conditions including COPD, infectious disease, diabetes, r/o TB, pneumonia, fever of unknown etiology and fluid/electrolyte imbalances. The unit is aligned with the CMC plan for Nursing and utilizes the CMC Professional Practice Model, the AACN synergy model, and Jean Watson’s Theory of Human Caring. We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association At least 6 months of RN experience What You’ll Do: Provide comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures. Use evidence‑based practice and clinical decision making while leading efforts to create a safe patient environment and positive patient experience across the continuum.
