This role reports to the Principal and/or other Supervisor and will help students develop appropriate subject matter skills and attitudes to become responsible citizens. Essential Performance Responsibilities Exhibits punctuality in assigned duties. Provides a positive role model for students. Employs effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives. Evaluates student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner. Meets and instructs assigned classes at the designated locations and times. Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. Effectively manages classroom behavior. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required. Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation. Other Performance Responsibilities Strives to improve professional competence. Supports the total school program by observing curricular and extra-curricular student activities. Participates in curriculum review and design. Attends meetings and performs duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors. Job Requirements Citizenship, residency or work visa required. Must hold proper certification according to the state of Missouri. FLSA: Exempt. New teachers: 190 days; returning teachers: 186 days with benefits provided per district policy and the PH National Education Association Agreement.
