This role provides daily support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, focusing on personal care, skill building, and community integration. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, implementing individual support plans, monitoring safety, and documenting services provided. The Direct Support Professional will help individuals develop independence, participate in community activities, and access transportation and appointments as needed. The role also involves communicating with supervisors and team members, following agency policies and procedures, and attending required trainings and meetings.\nQualifications\n\n\n Human Services knowledge and experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities.\n Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities for working with individuals, families, and team members.\n Willingness to participate in ongoing training related to person-centered support, safety, and behavioral strategies.\n Ability to follow care plans, maintain accurate documentation, and comply with agency and regulatory standards.\n High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or social services is preferred.\n Reliable attendance, ability to work assigned shifts, and capability to perform physical tasks such as assisting with mobility.\n Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, if transportation support is required.\n Commitment to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment for all individuals served.\n
