Job Description
Job Title: Medical Assistant

Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Hours per Shift: 8 hours (1 hour lunch)

Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience

License: Required - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification from an approved vendor.

Must-Have: Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or certification from CHDP within six months of hire preferred. Phlebotomy certificate preferred.

Description:

Comprising a 122-bed acute care facility, the team provides exceptional care in various medical services.


Job Summary:


Performs non-invasive, routine technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of licensed healthcare providers.


Essential Functions:


Sets up exam rooms and checks in patients.


Maintains a patient recall system, including continuity of care logs for lab tests, referrals, and transfers.


Obtains vital signs and reports significant findings and pertinent patient observations to clinic physicians.


Performs venipunctures as ordered.


Conducts audiometry and vision testing.


Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
