Medical Assistant – Outpatient

Schedule: Day Shift, 5 x 8s, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or equivalent combination of licensure and experience: Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS): Required
• Successful completion of audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP within six months of hire: Preferred
• Phlebotomy certificate: Preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical tasks.
• Perform administrative duties including scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
• Assume responsibility for ensuring a sense of urgency in patient care tasks.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
