Position Overview Environmental, Safety, and Health Manager who inspects and evaluates the environment, equipment, and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry standards. The chief goal is to protect employees, customers, contractors, and the environment. Manage, plan, implement, and oversee SmartLam North America’s Safety Program, including educating employees on health‑safety training and investigating accidents to identify causes and develop prevention strategies. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and implement OSHA policies and programs. Advise and lead employees on various safety‑related topics. Prepare educational seminars and webinars regularly. Review existing policies and procedures. Adhere to all rules and regulations. Enforce preventative measures. Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions. Ensure employees comply with PPE regulations, inspect and replace PPE as needed. Provide new hire safety orientation and conduct additional training and re‑training for current employees. Prepare and present reports on accidents, violations, and their causes. Oversee workplace repair, installations, and work that could harm employee safety, collaborating with the Maintenance Manager. Conduct training on forklift, overhead crane, lock‑out/tag‑out, fire, and weather safety, ensuring all required procedures are in place and OSHA standards are met. Required Skills & Abilities Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety, or a related scientific field. Five years of related experience. OSHA knowledge required. Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices. Working knowledge of report production. Experience writing policies and procedures for health and safety. Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics. Working knowledge of safety management information system. Certificate in occupational health and safety preferred. Emergency First Responder certificate preferred, required once employed. Physical Requirements Lifting up to 50 lbs. Repetitive lifting 35 lbs. Carrying up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
