Project Coordinator - Commercial Flooring

Location: Near Kennesaw, GA

I'm partnering with one of my established clients in the commercial flooring industry who is actively looking to add a Project Coordinator to their team. This is an in-office position located near Kennesaw, GA, supporting a growing pipeline of commercial flooring projects. The client is seeking someone with prior construction project coordination experience-flooring experience is highly preferred or similar trade.

Position Overview:
This Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, field teams, installers, and vendors to ensure projects run smoothly from award through completion. The role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in coordinating multiple construction projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support Project Managers with day-to-day coordination of commercial flooring projects
* Assist with project setup, scheduling, and documentation
* Coordinate material ordering, deliveries, and lead times with vendors and suppliers
* Track project schedules, labor needs, and installation timelines
* Prepare and manage submittals, change orders, and closeout documents
* Maintain accurate project files and internal tracking systems
* Communicate with installers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
* Assist with job cost tracking and billing documentation
* Proactively identify scheduling or material issues and communicate solutions

Qualifications:

* 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role in construction
* Commercial flooring experience strongly preferred
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; construction or ERP software experience is a plus
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication and follow-through skills
