You'll work with equipment such as LACT units, flowmeters, and ball and piston provers, performing calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting while building your expertise in measurement systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition technology.What You'll DoProve, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot Coriolis, turbine, positive displacement (PD), and ultrasonic flowmeters on LACT units and other liquid measurement systemsOperate and maintain ball and piston provers and utilize master meters for meter proving and verificationUse EFM flow computers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and SCADA systems for data collection and monitoringCollect spot and composite samples and safely handle hazardous and non-hazardous materialsPerform field measurements and calculations, including API gravity and sediment and water (S&W) determinationPrepare and maintain accurate job tickets, field reports, and related documentationMaintain tools, proving equipment, and vehicles in safe working conditionCommunicate job progress and updates with field teams, supervisors, and customersPerform other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent; applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educationPrevious hands-on work experience with liquid measurement and custody transfer systems, including LACT units, flowmeters, and meter proving equipmentFamiliarity with EFM flow computers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), or SCADA systemsValid driver's license with acceptable driving record; Active CDL-A license strongly preferredStrong communication skills and the ability to work independentlyWork Schedule & TravelFull-time, field-based position with workdays typically ranging from 8–16 hoursFlexibility to participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, as business needs requireAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snowDaily local driving is required, with up to 20% overnight travel as needed to support other sitesWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly payCompany-provided work vehicle and monthly cell phone reimbursementMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchEmployer-paid life, AD&D, and disability insuranceGenerous PTO, sick leave, paid parental leave, and paid holidaysPerformance-based merit increase and career advancement opportunitiesTuition reimbursement and professional development supportEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Our Commitment to Diversity and InclusionAt SPL, we believe a diverse team is a strong team.
