Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/11/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs\n Hours: 36 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 11, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry night shift position requiring prior cardiac experience and a willingness to precept new staff.Details\n \n 30-bed Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry unit within a Stepdown Intermediate Care setting\n Cares for patients with chest pain, CHF, advanced heart failure, syncope, and those undergoing echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterization\n Handles patients undergoing Mitraclip, Watchman, Tykosyn initiation, and TAVR procedures\n Unit may overflow to general Med/Surg or care for non-cardiac patients as needed\n Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15\n 13-week assignment length\n Priority floating to Med/Surg required if needed\n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required\n BLS and ACLS certification required (must be AHA)\n NIH Stroke Scale certification required\n Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required\n Cardiac telemetry experience strongly preferred\n Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start\n Additional Information\n \n Provide direct patient care for a cardiac telemetry population with a variety of complex cardiac conditions\n Opportunity to help stabilize staffing on a newly reorganized unit\n Willingness to precept and train incoming RN residents and new hires is highly valued\n COVID-19 vaccination is not required\n Radius rules apply, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility\n First-time travelers may be considered for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-755652.
