Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a telemetry unit managing diagnoses including CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, renal failure, GI bleeding, altered mental status, hypertension, and diabetes
• Perform and assist with unit-based procedures including lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, nasogastric tube insertion, and feeding tube insertion
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform IV insertions and manage PICC lines
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using electronic health record systems

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation
• Demonstrated competency with IV insertion and PICC line management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Prior experience with telemetry or step-down unit patient populations
