As a Data Analyst, you will work alongside subject matter experts and stakeholders to create data-driven solutions covering a wide variety of topics. What You'll Do:

• Develop Solutions: Design custom analytical methodologies and products that maximize impact for our investigative and audit clients.

• Translate Complexity: Distill sophisticated analytical solutions and results in clear, compelling briefings for customers, executives, and non-technical audiences.
• Advise and Inform: Analyze diverse and desperate data and apply comprehensive and expert knowledge to advise on needs, operational impacts, strategic objectives, and other related issues.

Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Only those candidates who meet all qualification and eligibility requirements and who submit the required information by 11:59 PM EST on 06/22/2026 will be considered. The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience. This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS-9 to GS-13. The salary range for this position is $70,623.00 - $158,322.00. The salary figures include locality pay. • Advanced Trend Analysis: Analyze internal and third-party datasets to identify trends and mitigate risks within complex, high-uncertainty business environments.
• Artificial Intelligence: Utilize AI and other advanced applications to facilitate analytical activities.
• Quantitative Support: Execute advanced statistical and numerical modeling to provide evidence-based insights for audits and investigations.
• BI Solution Development: Design and maintain interactive business intelligence (BI) dashboards and visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Strategic Data Governance: Architect analytical solutions and provide recommendations to optimize data collection, management, and governance frameworks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter experts to define technical requirements and solve organizational challenges.
• Methodology Documentation: Maintain rigorous documentation of analytical workflows and processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency.
• Communication and Reporting: Prepare and deliver high-level technical reports and presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to diverse and non-technical audiences.
• Data Integrity & ETL: Perform complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of large-scale datasets.
• Process Automation: Develop and deploy automated reporting tools and scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual data handling.
