This role supports the development and maintenance of the enterprise risk management framework by partnering with business units to evaluate risk exposure, track key risk indicators, and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are in place. The Risk Analyst also plays a key role in issues management, including tracking, analyzing, and supporting the remediation of identified control gaps and risk events to ensure timely resolution and sustainable outcomes as well as supports the risk evaluation of new and existing products, services, and initiatives, assessing potential impacts, identifying inherent risks, and ensuring appropriate controls are established prior to implementation. This role will also provide coordination support to ensure efficient execution of internal and external audits, serving as the central point for audit facilitation, documentation, and issue tracking.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesRisk Assessment and IdentificationIdentify and evaluate potential risks across business units, including operational, financial, compliance, strategic, and reputation risksConduct risk assessments and document risk statements, likelihood, and impactFacilitate risk workshops and engage stakeholders to capture emerging risksRisk Monitoring & ReportingMonitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and escalate issues where thresholds are exceededMaintain risk registers and ensure data accuracy and completenessSupport the preparation of risk reports, dashboards, and executive summariesControls & MitigationPartner with business owners to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controlsTrack mitigation plans and ensure timely completionRecommend improvements to strengthen internal controls and reduce risk exposureData Analysis & InsightsAnalyze risk data and trends to identify patterns and potential areas of concernAssist in developing reporting tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Excel, or Power Apps)Provide actionable insights to support decision-makingGovernance & ComplianceSupport adherence to enterprise risk management frameworks and policiesServe as primary liaison between external auditors and business teams to support audit execution, manage documentation requests, and ensure clear, timely communicationAssist in regulatory and compliance activities as neededEnsure proper documentation of risk processes and methodologiesCollaborationWork cross-functionally with Finance, Compliance, IT, and key Operations teamsProvide guidance to business stakeholders on risk management practicesSupport risk awareness and training initiativesAudit FacilitationCoordinate audit activities, including scheduling, request list management, and stakeholder alignmentServe as facilitator between auditors and internal teams, ensuring timely, accurate information exchangeTrack audit requests, deliverables, and timelines; proactively identify and escalate delays or risksMaintain organized audit documentation, including evidence, workpapers, and quality assurance supportMonitor audit findings and remediation progress, supporting timely closure and reportingKnowledge & Skills ExperienceMinimum 2-5 years of experience in a Compliance or Risk Management role in financial servicesEducation/Certifications/Licenses Bachelor's degree in business management, finance, risk management or related field Interpersonal SkillsA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
