This role offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects, with the first assignment being an airport project. If you have a strong background in mechanical contracting and a passion for project management, we want to hear from you!Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and quality standards are maintained.Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFI's, submittals, and change orders.Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective project delivery.Scheduling: Develop and update project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, and safety standards.Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.Qualifications:Experience: 2-5 years of established experience in project management, preferably with a mechanical contractor.Education: A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred. HVAC/Plumbing experience working for a mechanical contracting company or through internship experience is highly valued.Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in project management software and tools. Experience with scheduling software is a plus.Flexibility: Willingness to travel as required by project needs.Preferred Background: Experience working on large-scale projects valued at $10 million and upwards, with a preference for those experienced in assisting Project Managers with RFIs, cost coding, and working with other Project Engineers/APMs.Career Path: This role is designed to eventually move into a Project Manager (PM) position.Adaptability: We can be flexible on degree and experience, but a mechanical contracting background is preferred.
