- Senior AI Financial Operations AnalystChicagoFinOps100k – 150k31/07/2026Full-timeRemoteFavoriteAccess Job## Job Description## About the RoleThis role leads the financial governance, cost visibility, and consumption optimization of Vizient’s enterprise AI platforms and generative AI services. It exists to help the organization build AI FinOps capabilities that support responsible, scalable, and cost-effective AI adoption.The position spans cloud AI services, agentic platforms, token-based usage models, GPU infrastructure, and AI developer tooling. The goal is to convert complex usage patterns into clear insights that improve efficiency, strengthen financial control, and support business value.Reporting to technology leadership, this role works closely with Security, Risk, Legal, Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, and AI Engineering. It also supports investment planning, governance programs, operating model design, and executive decision-making.## Key Responsibilities– Lead AI financial operations across enterprise AI platforms and manage spend across services such as Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, and other AI technologies. – Track and optimize AI consumption across tokens, inference, GPU usage, model hosting, vector databases, embeddings, and AI agent execution patterns. – Build forecasting and financial planning models to support platform growth, capacity management, and long-term investment decisions. – Design and maintain AI showback and chargeback processes to improve transparency around consumption and value realization. – Define governance standards, financial guardrails, and operational controls for responsible AI adoption. – Partner with Security, Risk, Legal, Architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, and AI Engineering to align governance with policy and strategy. – Monitor enterprise AI tooling adoption, including developer productivity tools, generative AI platforms, and AI orchestration solutions, and identify unsanctioned or shadow AI usage. – Work with engineering teams to improve workload economics through prompt efficiency, model selection, routing, caching, batching, and GPU allocation. – Evaluate hosted and self-managed AI infrastructure options and provide cost optimization analysis. – Create executive dashboards, reporting, and analytics covering consumption trends, financial performance, efficiency, and ROI. – Define AI unit economics and performance metrics across use cases, workflows, business capabilities, and enterprise initiatives. – Present financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders. – Support enterprise AI investment planning, governance programs, and scalable AI operating models. – Drive continuous improvement in AI financial governance, reporting, and operational effectiveness.## Required Skills– 5+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps, AI Infrastructure, Cloud Operations, Data Platforms, Technology Finance, or a related field. – Experience with public cloud AI services, generative AI platforms, and cloud-based consumption models. – Strong understanding of AI pricing and consumption structures, including token-based, inference-based, and GPU-based cost models. – Experience analyzing cloud financial data, operational telemetry, utilization trends, and technology spending patterns. – Demonstrated ability to build forecasting models, perform financial analysis, and develop executive-level reporting and dashboards. – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quantify optimization opportunities and business impact. – Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and business stakeholders on optimization initiatives. – Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and executive audiences. – Strong knowledge of cloud economics, technology financial management, and AI operational best practices. – Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment while balancing innovation, governance, and financial accountability.## Preferred Skills– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field. – Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI Enterprise, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, or similar AI platforms. – Experience with Cloudability, Azure Cost Management, Datadog, Power BI, or comparable tools. – Familiarity with AI agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, and emerging AI operational technologies. – FinOps Foundation certification, cloud platform certifications, or related professional credentials. – Experience managing GPU infrastructure or optimizing AI workloads for performance and cost efficiency. – Understanding of AI
