JOB DESCRIPTION

Wise Staffing Group has immediate openings for Production Technicians in [City, State].

Our client is a packaging operation seeking dependable team members to support its production line.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Technician is responsible for keeping the packaging line supplied, inspecting finished cartons, and helping production run efficiently. This position works under the direction of the Production Manager or Shift Supervisor, with day-to-day direction from the Machine Operator.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Stock the production line with cartons, shipping materials, glue, and other needed supplies.
• Monitor the line and remove fallen cartons that could obstruct the conveyor.
• Follow approved procedures for stopping equipment and addressing lodged cartons. Perform these tasks only when trained and authorized.
• Inspect finished cartons according to site quality standards and notify the Machine Operator of defects.
• Rework cartons rejected by the check-weigher, line inspection, or Quality Assurance.
• Follow site cleaning and sanitizing procedures.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, including site dress requirements, and report food safety concerns to management or Quality Assurance.
• Rotate tasks and assist coworkers as needed.
• Follow all required safety procedures and workplace policies, including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Meet established production, quality, and performance expectations.
• Report equipment, quality, safety, or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
• Be punctual and maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The Production Technician should have:

• At least one year of experience in a similar production or packaging role.
• A strong work history.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate concerns or issues to a supervisor.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to:

• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds.
• Stand for the entire shift.
• Walk, bend, kneel, twist, and turn as required.
• Use hands and fingers regularly to handle materials and perform packaging tasks.
• Climb ladders as needed for cleaning, following site safety procedures.
• Safely perform the essential physical functions of the position.
