WORK SCHEDULES - CURRENT OPENINGS

• 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Evening Shift 3:00pm-11:30pm and 5:00pm-1:30am

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

Our staff team contribute to UW Medicine Patients Are First healthcare team by providing a clean healthy and safe environment for patients visitors and staff. Our services at Harborview Medical Center housekeeping linen and waste management.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Under general supervision the individual in this role will maintain cleanliness and care of facilities in inpatient and non-patient areas and administrative offices as assigned.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleans and disinfects all furniture fixtures and equipment according to procedure.

• Removes and properly handles soiled linen; disinfects and remakes beds in patient rooms; dust and wet mops hard floors with disinfectant.

• Empties/relines wastebaskets regulated medical waste containers and recycle containers.

• Performs bloodborne pathogen and chemical spill containment and clean-up according to procedure.

• Strips cleans buffs and applies finish to floors.

• Performs in between case cleaning and terminal cleaning of surgical obstetrical and invasive procedure rooms including flood mopping and disinfecting according to procedure.

• Vacuums and spot clean carpets; operates automated carpet shampooers and extractors.

• Follows written and/or verbal instructions regarding the use of chemicals personal protective apparel supplies and equipment.

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$21.84 hourly

Pay Range Maximum:

$29.40 hourly

Other Compensation:

Evening Shift Differential Pay: $1.75 per hour Weekend Differential Pay: $2.00 per hour
