About the Role:

As a DSP, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to our clients, assisting with daily living activities, and promoting independence and self-advocacy. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans, and ensure that our clients receive the highest level of care and attention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and communication

• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming

• Help clients develop and maintain daily routines, including meal planning and preparation, and medication management

• Encourage and support client participation in community activities, such as shopping, social events, and hobbies

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals

• Document client progress and communicate with families and healthcare teams

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if applicable)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
