Company Description Lotus Behavioral Services provides Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) support to families, children, and adults with special needs, mental health challenges, and intellectual disabilities across Connecticut. Through Lotus Behavioral Consultation, founded in 2017, the organization has become one of the largest providers of behavioral services for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the state, offering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavioral Supports in settings such as residential programs, community companion homes, independent living supports, and day programs. BCBAs specialize in treatment areas including Autism, Dementia, and Trauma-Informed care, and the organization offers staff training, professional development seminars, and RBT training. Lotus Family Behavioral Services, launched in 2019, provides ABA services for children and youth on the autism spectrum with a focus on family and caregiver training, using both virtual and in-person service models. Behavioral Technicians work under BCBA oversight to help implement individualized treatment goals and support meaningful progress at home and in the community. In-Home BCBA Role Description The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) role is a part-time role working in the home setting. Cases are located through the Hartford, Middletown, and surrounding areas. The position is hybrid and the hours are flexible. In this role, the BCBA conducts functional behavior assessments, develops individualized behavior support and treatment plans, and oversees implementation across home, community, and program settings. The BCBA provides training and coaching to families, caregivers, and direct support staff, focusing on effective behavior management strategies and skill-building interventions. Daily responsibilities include data collection and analysis, progress monitoring, updating treatment plans, and ensuring services align with best practices in ABA and trauma-informed care. The BCBA collaborates with internal teams and external partners to promote client-centered, ethical, and culturally responsive supports. Qualifications Strong foundation in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, including assessment, treatment planning, and data-driven decision making. Skills in Parent Education and caregiver training, with the ability to coach families and support staff in implementing behavior support strategies. Knowledge of Psychology and human development, particularly related to Autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health. Experience with Behavior Management in home, community, and program settings, focusing on positive and proactive approaches. Current BCBA certification and eligibility to practice within the state of Connecticut. Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities and/or children and youth on the autism spectrum. Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills, with attention to ethical and professional standards.
