Area Business Manager, Indianapolis, IN

Position Summary Area Business Manager (promote FDA-approved Rett syndrome treatment). Own and execute territory strategy, analyze market insights, and build cross-functional partnerships in a complex rare disease landscape. Primary Responsibilities Report to the Regional Business Leader. Build relationships with HCPs and multidisciplinary care teams to support appropriate patient therapy. Develop and maintain relationships with target HCPs, including education on product safety/efficacy. Deliver MLR-approved education and disease-state information. Plan and execute territory business plans to exceed goals (call activity, adherence, financial objectives). Cultivate connections with KOLs and relevant stakeholders. Address customer concerns and collaborate internally to resolve issues. Analyze sales potential, optimize outreach within budget/compliance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patients/providers. Participate in patient advocacy events, conferences, training. Stay current on market/product trends. Guide customers on pricing/access; act as liaison to internal teams. Qualifications / Required Bachelor’s degree (preferred life sciences). FDA and OIG standing. Live within the territory; valid driver’s license; travel extensively (up to 80%), including overnight/air travel. Qualifications / Preferred Area Business Manager: 3+ years pharmaceutical sales; 1+ year specialty sales (rare diseases). Sr. Area Business Manager: 8+ years pharmaceutical sales; 5+ years specialty sales (rare diseases). Specialty sales experience in rare diseases, CNS/neurology, or pediatric neurology; familiarity with specialty distribution/access. Skills Advanced selling/dialogue skills; strong relationship-building with KOLs/Centers of Excellence. Cross-functional ability to execute actionable business plans. Strong communication/organizational skills; proactive.
