Responsible for understanding the features and benefits of the products and solutions, providing product knowledge and addressing customer inquiries. The Senior Automation Product Specialist's goal is to build strong relationships with customers, identify their needs, and recommend the most suitable products and solutions to meet those needs.What You'll Do:Own and grow the industrial controls business across Orlando and Florida’s East Coast.Partner with Rexel sales, Rockwell Automation and technology partners to identify opportunities, expand accounts and win business.Help customers select, specify, demonstrate and apply industrial control and automation solutions.Support solutions across motor control, drives, sensing, safety, networking, connectivity and control-panel applications.Work with OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, panel builders and end users on new applications and modernization projects.Conduct customer visits, demonstrations, training and technical presentations to develop opportunities and introduce new technologies.Build and manage an actionable opportunity pipeline, including competitive conversions and account whitespace, and drive opportunities through closure.Meet or exceed sales goals of assigned technology offerLead and support sales efforts with key targets, key customers, and key opportunities in assigned product and/or area/regionProvide technical support for internal and external customers via on-site visit, phone, and email. This could include, but is not limited to troubleshooting products, finding technical documentation and specifications, product selection and, other requested activitiesEstablish relationships with sales and customers to better understand sales potentialWork with sales to establish joint strategies and activitiesProvide expert knowledge to Sales and Branch teams to facilitate quoting, order entry, and order expeditingCreate and present technical and commercial training for internal and external customersDescribe or demonstrate product to customersAcquire, use, and continuously develop personal technical knowledgeProvide oral and/or written quotations, proposals or estimates of prices, scope of work, terms, and deliveryWork with prospective customers to move projects through the sales cycle to conclusionProperly prepare for sales calls, customers events, etc.Work with Purchasing on proper inventory of high-tech products and identify any potential obsolesce problemsMentor and coach junior level team membersPerform other duties as assignedJob Duties Disclaimer: The information contained in this job description is intended to describe the essential job functions required of those assigned to this job.
