Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including comprehensive physical exams and meticulous reviews of medical histories
• Assist in evaluating surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
• Work in close partnership with surgeons to develop and implement patient-specific surgical plans
• Provide support during operations, which involves preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments as needed
• Deliver exceptional pre- and post-operative care, including medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and comprehensive patient education

Educational Background

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred

Certifications

• Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant

Skills Required
