Job Title: Surgical Technician Profession: Surgical Technician Specialty: Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: PM, rotating shifts (days, evenings, and nights) Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the operating room within the last 3 years; really prefers 3 years. License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Level 1 Trauma experience (at least 1 year out of the last 3) - A minimum of 1 year of travel experience in the last 3 years - Strong proficiency in General Surgery, Orthopedics (total joints required), Neurosurgery (Crani and Spine required), Vascular Surgery, Trauma, Robotics (Da Vinci—cardiac experience required), and Transplant (not a hard stop) Description: Candidates cannot be previous regular employees. Call and weekends are required, with rotations possible. Call may occur on weekdays and/or weekends. Weekends can be scheduled on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. In 6 weeks, individuals may have up to 3 weekend shifts of call, either Saturday (24 hours: 7 AM - 7 AM) or Sunday (16 hours: 7 AM - 11 PM). Additional night shifts may be required on Fridays. There is no block scheduling. Call response time is 30 minutes. In-house call rooms are available for use if needed.
