Finance & Operations Coordinator

Muslim Community Network (MCN), a New York City nonprofit organization focused on empowering Muslim New Yorkers through civic engagement and community development, is seeking a Finance & Operations Coordinator to join its team. This is a full-time hybrid position based in Midtown Manhattan (450 Lexington Avenue), requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote with flexible hours between 9 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Monitor organizational expenditures and maintain comprehensive financial documentation Support budget development and oversight across all program departments Prepare financial statements and grant reports for stakeholder review Grant and Compliance Management Organize contracts, grants, purchase orders, and supporting records to ensure audit readiness Track grant allocations against approved budgets and maintain compliance Monitor contract milestones and manage reporting timelines Maintain systems for equipment and asset tracking Operational Support Collaborate on cross-functional organizational initiatives and projects Mentor interns on finance and administrative best practices Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum 1 year of nonprofit finance, budgeting, or grant reporting experience Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, financial reporting functions) City, state, or government grant experience preferred Familiarity with Salesforce, Bill.com, or Expensify advantageous Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Compensation and Benefits Annual salary: $60,00 100% employer-paid health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with 2% employer match 15 vacation days and 15 sick days annually 2 Mental Health Days per year Flexible work schedule #J-18808-Ljbffr
