Patient Services Rep / PSR

Responsibilities Be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly and identifying their needs to assist them in a timely and courteous manner. Answer the telephone promptly in a customer-friendly manner. Perform multi-faceted duties including customer service, insurance verification, registration, payment collection, data entry, and referrals. Ensure patient flow, medical record availability and completeness, schedule physician/provider appointments, and maintain physician appointment schedules. Collect and verify accurate patient information and enter it into the registration system. Receive payments for services and accurately complete charge slips for data entry. Uphold Hillcrest Healthcare System policies and procedures and contribute to a collaborative, quality patient care environment. Qualifications High School diploma or GED.
