Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a transdisciplinary team, contributing to the health and well-being of patients by delivering innovative and personalized medical solutions within the Unitized Transdisciplinary Care (UTC) program.Our mission is to bring care that's whole, human, and healing. Availability to work Saturday and/or Sunday may be required.About the position:Deliver care using a holistic, interdisciplinary approach in collaboration with medical doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, behavioral health providers, dietitians, and other health partners within our patented care modelParticipate in a multidisciplinary team to develop, execute, monitor, and adjust comprehensive and coordinated care plans that include shared goals with measurable outcomesAssess and document patient health through interviews, examinations, observations, and review of medical historiesDiagnose health conditions, order and interpret lab work and diagnostic studies following established protocolsEvaluate and manage chronic pain conditions as part of comprehensive care plans, integrating pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapiesCollaborate with pain management specialists and complementary providers (chiropractors, acupuncturists) to develop individualized multimodal pain treatment strategiesPerform interventional pain procedures as trained and credentialed, including joint injections, trigger point injections, and other minimally invasive therapiesEducate patients on safe pain management practices including opioid stewardship, alternative therapies, and self-management techniquesMonitor treatment efficacy and adjust care plans to optimize function, quality of life, and long-term health outcomesDocument all patient encounters and sign medical charts within 72 hours as per industry standards and guidelinesDevelop treatment plan as part of patient's overall care plan that addresses dysfunction and disease while minimizing risk of further injuryPrescribe and dispense medication when granted authority in accordance with State licensure and staff privilegesEmploy evidence-based approaches to shared decision-making that respect the patient's preferences and social norms while targeting optimal treatment outcomesOur Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:Active Physician Assistant license in the state of CaliforniaCurrent Board Certification as a Physician Assistant requiredCurrent DEA registration or eligibility/ability to obtain DEA registrationAt least 1 year of relevant work experience PA preferred but not requiredExperience in pain management or interest in developing expertise in this area preferredComfort in managing patients with chronic pain using a multimodal, evidence-based approachBilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not requiredAt Lifekind, we believe our employees deserve the best.
