Work Environment

The role will be performed onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation center in Totowa, New Jersey, a community known for its supportive healthcare culture. Our center is designed to promote healing, featuring specialized treatment areas and equipment for various rehabilitation therapies. You will work scheduled hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, contributing to a supportive and energetic atmosphere focused on patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with musculoskeletal injuries, sports-related conditions, post-surgical needs, and chronic pain syndromes.
• Formulate and implement individualized therapy programs utilizing advanced techniques including manual therapy, gait training, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and consistently communicating changes to patients and collaborating healthcare providers.
• Empower patients through education on injury prevention strategies, effective home exercise programs, and tools for promoting long-term wellness.
• Conduct educational sessions for patients' families and community members about wellness techniques, and motivate them to engage actively in the recovery process.
• Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless, coordinated care for all patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Mend Force, you will be working primarily with adults recovering from surgical procedures, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our client population includes individuals of all ages looking to restore their functional abilities and improve their quality of life through comprehensive therapy designed to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate (DPT) or Master's degree preferred.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is required.
• Proficient in advanced therapeutic techniques, combining strong clinical knowledge with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; additional certifications in specialties such as geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

We welcome applications from Physical Therapists with at least two years of experience in outpatient orthopedics. New graduates with relevant clinical internship experience and a strong knowledge base are encouraged to apply. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, adaptability in dynamic environments, and a collaborative mindset.

Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
