The expected salary range for this position is $240,000 – $290,000 depending upon experience.TPZP, a Tutor Perini joint venture company, is the company selected to execute the California High Speed Rail – construction package one (CP-1). TPZP is seeking a General Superintendent for the project in Fresno, CAAbout California High Speed Rail- CP1Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional PerformanceThe California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in California’s Central Valley.The CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. It includes 12 roadway / railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignments of existing railroad tracks, utility relocations, roadway relocations, two trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDESCRIPTION: As a GeneralSuperintendent at Tutor Perini, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:Supervise and direct the work of discipline Superintendents across earthworks and structures construction efforts to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule.Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.Support Site Specific Safety Plan.Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.​REQUIREMENTS:15 or more years of construction experience10 or more years’ experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projectsExperience as a superintendent on projects valued over $200MPrevious Superintendent experience on bridge, highway or transit projectsKnowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards.Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferredKnowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craftExperienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar softwareOSHA certification, First Aid CertsExcellent written and verbal skillsHighschool diploma or GED preferred but not requiredOUR MISSIONWe build critical infrastructure that creates a better world.OUR VISIONWe strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
