Marketing Specialist

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that us partial remote located in San Diego. Will be required to work in office at Scripps Headquarters Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for executing marketing and communications tactics that promote Scripps Health and its entities. This role supports initiatives that drive awareness, preference and choice for service lines, providers and other services including fundraising through coordinated, omni-channel marketing strategies .Projects may include advertising, publications, collateral materials, web content, fliers, posters, physician lectures, special events and outreach activities involving employers and the San Diego community. Working collaboratively with cross-functional marketing teams, this role functions as an active team member on marketing projects from planning through execution and evaluation. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for managing project workflows, tracking budgets and timelines, and coordinating each project from intake through final execution. This includes contributing to creative ideation, executing tactics and managing multiple reviews and approvals and tracking results. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for copywriting, stakeholder engagement, reporting and vendor coordination to ensure successful project delivery. Key accountabilities include partnering with service line and other department leaders to establish, track and meet deadlines, ensuring all deliverables are high quality and aligned with Scripps brand standards; maximizing organizational visibility while maintaining cost-efficiency to support increased referrals to Scripps physicians, hospitals, programs and services. Required Experience/Specialized Skills: Minimum of two to three years working as a marketing communications coordinator or project manager with experience, preferably in health care in project management, writing, editing, research and marketing analytics. Internal and external customer interaction and excellent customer service is required. Extremely well organized, detail-oriented, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple, unrelated tasks simultaneously. Possess excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of marketing analytics in social media, digital marketing and engagement tactics. Ability to work independently and as a team member, possess consensus-building and negotiation skills. Must have excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading and formatting skills. Required Education/Course(s)/Training: Bachelor of science degree in marketing and communications, journalism or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Education/Training: Experience supporting a large organization (more than 25 people) with multiple departments is preferred. Healthcare marketing experience in a medium to large medical group/healthcare organization. Strong writing and editing skills. Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional marketing departments. Experience with Airtable, Workamajig and/or Slack. Strong Microsoft experience.
