Accuracy and timely movement of freight and information is a key component for this position. This position will be based at our Torrance, CA location. Key Responsibilities Confirm all shipment information with origin to initiate shipment Receive and validate customers order including shipping documents, SLI, EIN, credit application Review/update; verify fees, customer profile, SOP, and rates per quote or customer SOP/work instructions Verify shipment status, review pre-alert and verify shipment handling instructions to operations Serve as a liaison between Document Processing Agent and the Customer regarding shipment details and/or exception Communicate and resolve problems that arise in the movement of product Communicate exceptions and shipment status with Customer Skills / Requirements Minimum 2 years Ocean Imports experience in the freight forwarding or International Supply Chain industry. Strong Understanding of Ocean Import regulations and documents. Knowledge of Inco Terms a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively Exceptional customer service and follow up skills Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) LOGIS or Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus Hazmat certification is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred, High school diploma or GED required Pay Range: $23.26 - $31.02/hr.
