General Maintenance Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Maintenance Manager to lead facilities operations for a unique, high-profile manufacturing and commercial site in the Lehigh Valley area.

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership of facility maintenance, custodial operations, vendor management, financial performance, and client relationships. This role requires a strong executive presence, the ability to engage with senior leadership, and a proven track record of leading teams in complex facilities environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for facilities management operations, including maintenance and custodial services.

• Manage day-to-day operations of a complex, multi-use facility operating in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

• Lead a team of approximately 10 associates, including skilled trades personnel.

• Foster strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders and senior leadership.

• Ensure delivery of white-glove custodial services and exceptional facility standards.

• Oversee building maintenance, HVAC systems, and critical infrastructure.

• Manage third-party vendors and contractors to ensure service quality, compliance, and performance.

• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

• Drive operational excellence through performance metrics, process improvements, and strong leadership practices.

• Own site financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of senior leadership experience in facilities, maintenance, or operations management.

• Experience managing teams within a facilities or building operations environment.

• Strong understanding of major building systems, including HVAC and related infrastructure.

• Working knowledge of custodial operations and facility troubleshooting.

• Experience managing budgets and financial performance.

• Proven ability to lead teams, vendors, and contractors.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to interact effectively with clients and senior leaders.
