Legal Assistant

Amundsen Davis, a full-service business and litigation law firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a sophisticated litigation practice in our St. Charles, IL office, where you’ll work in a dynamic, friendly, and collaborative environment while enjoying the resources and benefits of a large law firm. Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr This position is not open to recruiters. Responsibilities Provide general office support for litigation attorneys, including file maintenance, calendar management, scheduling depositions/meetings, preparing expense reports, submitting invoices, and coordinating travel Set up new clients and matters, including conflict checks and preparation of engagement letters Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents, including e-filings, ensuring accuracy and consistency on time-sensitive matters Calculate, calendar, and track court and filing deadlines; stay current with court rules and procedures for state and federal filings Organize and maintain both paper and electronic case files; create, convert, and format documents as needed Perform legal research and provide additional support to attorneys as required Qualifications 5+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a private law firm, with strong organizational, administrative, and multi-tasking skills High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and legal/document management systems Self-motivated, proactive, and able to meet deadlines under pressure while working independently or collaboratively within a team Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a solution-oriented approach in providing outstanding internal and external client service High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred This position requires regular and predictable in-office attendance Amundsen Davis is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
