General Manager - Operations In this highly visible leadership role, the General Manager oversees the strategic direction, operations, compliance, and financial performance of a designated operation within DSV’s Solutions division. The GM serves as the primary customer interface for leadership decisions, including proposal approval and contract negotiation. Responsibilities also cover local continuous improvement initiatives, LEAN and six sigma practices, ISO activities, marketing plan development, vendor and client relationships, and overall adherence to DSV’s corporate mission, vision and core values. Location Denton, TX Division Solutions Position Summary The General Manager of operations is accountable for ensuring systems and procedures are in place for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably, meeting productivity and service goals, driving continuous improvement, maintaining productive business relations with vendors and suppliers, implementing OSHA and all applicable federal and state regulations, and managing a system of controls to achieve service level and performance goals within cost, revenue and profit parameters. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure systems and procedures are in place for safe and profitable operations in accordance with company policies. Lead operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals and comply with client operating agreements. Set goals to drive continuous improvement efforts across the operation. Develop and maintain productive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and business partners. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and all Federal and State laws. Assist in setting client‑specific standards and scope of work. Develop and manage a system of controls to meet service level and performance goals within cost, revenue, and profit parameters. Partner with senior leadership to develop and recommend the annual operating budget. Responsible for the overall safety and security of the operation. Develop a team to achieve company and client objectives for the operation. Support mentoring, succession planning, and management development activities. Communicate the mission, vision, and core values to motivate direct reports. Other Duties Work overtime as dictated by business, whether mandatory or voluntary. Perform other duties as required. Supervisory Responsibilities Manage operations managers. Skills & Abilities Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred. 7 years of logistics, distribution, or relevant experience. 5 years of leadership experience in a logistics, distribution, or supply‑chain environment; operations management capacity. Ability to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures ranging from mild to moderate. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point). Proficient knowledge of applicable WMS systems. Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal); proficiency in business communication at all levels. Other Competencies Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timely task completion. Good organizational and personnel skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong leadership, supervisory, and planning skills. Advanced accounting and financial analysis skills related to P&L and budget preparation. Effective relationship development and integration across diverse teams. Compensation & Benefits Expected base pay range: $112,400.00 – $168,600.00 Annual.
