Territory Account Manager

Job Overview We are seeking a Territory Account Manager to drive the sales and adoption of an innovative pharmaceutical product in the dermatology market. In this role, you will execute targeted commercial strategies to develop the market, ensure product pull‑through, and consistently meet or exceed sales objectives. The Territory Account Manager will work closely with healthcare professionals and internal teams to provide exceptional follow‑through, ensuring patients have access to this much‑needed treatment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university (required) 2+ years of successful pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience with experience in dermatology (required) 1+ years of B2B selling experience with strong foundational training in selling skills (preferred) Proven experience and knowledge of prior authorization processes and reimbursement support Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving product growth in a territory Strong understanding of account management principles with the ability to manage an account holistically — identifying key opportunities to drive prescriptions and following through to ensure patients receive the product. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed. Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for conferences, training, or customer events. Ability to safely lift and transport materials (up to ~20 lbs). Proficient in using CRM systems and business software (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to manage contacts, analyze territory performance, and prepare reports/presentations. Valid driver’s license required Key Responsibilities Create and implement strategic territory business plans and targeted sales strategies that address local market needs, drive product uptake, and meet/exceed sales goals. Leverage strong clinical knowledge and consultative selling skills to educate healthcare providers on the appropriate use and benefits of the product for approved indications. Cultivate and maintain long‑term relationships with key healthcare providers, clinic staff, and other stakeholders. Identify and engage decision‑makers within each account to build loyalty and support for the product. Work closely with healthcare practices to ensure a seamless patient experience. Understand the patient journey in the therapeutic area and provide guidance on reimbursement processes to help staff navigate prior authorizations so that eligible patients can access treatment without delays. Monitor market trends and gather competitive intelligence. Share customer feedback and insights with cross‑functional teams to help refine strategies and respond to the evolving competitive landscape. Conduct all activities in full compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Ensure that promotional practices meet legal and regulatory guidelines. Actively participate in all required training sessions, sales meetings, and professional development opportunities. Stay up to date on product knowledge, clinical data, and industry best practices to enhance your effectiveness in the field.
