Stormwater Project Manager

Freese and Nichols currently seek a highly motivated Stormwater Project Manager to lead complex flood resilience projects in our growing Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise in InfoWorks ICM, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS (1D/2D) with strong project management experience. This role represents the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to the continued growth of our Colorado business. Additional responsibilities include: Serve as Project Manager on projects utilizing InfoWorks ICM modeling, including oversight and review of modeling work Ensure quality client service, clarity of work products, and delivery of high-quality services within budget and schedule constraints Direct, supervise, and mentor engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians Coordinate assigned work to ensure continuity, consistency, and quality across project teams Determine and schedule required project resources; evaluate project decisions to ensure sound engineering judgment and consideration of impacts to scope, schedule, and budget Remain current on applicable regulations, standards, and technological advancements Support business development efforts including client engagement, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and project interviews Participate in technical presentations, professional organizations, and industry events Qualifications Minimum of eight (8) years in stormwater management Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within three (3) months of hire Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Experience with stormwater masterplans, GIS, technical writing Experience with InfoWorks ICM modeling, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 2D About Freese and Nichols At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values ( L earn continuously, E ngage as family, A ct with integrity, D eliver quality, and S erve always).
