Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in a hospital setting
• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, incorporating physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects appropriate to the patient population
• Circulate for C-sections and perform OB triage as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care, communicate relevant information, and promote continuity of care
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families, consulting appropriate resources for complex care or high-risk discharge planning
• Participate in unit goal development, performance improvement activities, and cost-effective care practices

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing
• Experience with OB triage and C-section circulation in a hospital setting
