Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
Location: Bakersfield, CA 93306
Schedule: 3x12, 36 hours/Week
Duration: 3 months of assignment (with Possible Extension)
Pay: up to $62/hr. on W2 (for Locals)
Pay: up to $2700/weekly (for Travelers)

Position Overview:
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care to acutely and critically ill patients in the ER.
The RN will independently assess patients, identify their immediate and potential healthcare needs, develop and implement care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient conditions, and respond quickly to emergencies.
The position requires strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, patient assessment, care coordination, and emergency nursing skills .

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and collect/document clinical information.
• Identify changes in patient condition and report abnormal findings.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and Advanced Practice Providers.
• Prioritize care for multiple and/or critically ill patients.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and activate emergency protocols when needed.
• Use strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills.
• Monitor patient response to treatments and revise the care plan when necessary.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
• Follow medication administration, storage, and controlled-substance procedures.
• Provide compassionate care and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Follow hospital policies, evidence-based practices, and nursing standards.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, competency programs, and required educational courses.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and clinical competencies.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Certifications and Licenses:

• BLS Certificate – American Heart Association.
• ACLS Certificate – American Heart Association.
• PALS Certificate – American Heart Association.
• NIHSS.
• Registered Nurse CA state active License.
