Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provides expert nursing care in the Emergency Room setting for a diverse patient population. Supervises and coordinates nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality and safe patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status by collecting relevant data and analyzing findings.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet patient needs.
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, staff, and family members to coordinate care and ensure smooth transitions.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to nursing staff, maintaining workflow efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess current BLS certification from an approved vendor.
• Have at least two years of recent Emergency Department experience, with three or more years preferred.
• Demonstrate recent EPIC electronic medical record experience.
• Be capable of working night shifts with 36 or 48-hour schedules.
• Have current ACLS and PALS certifications per organizational standards.
