As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol in Roanoke, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while helping maintain a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, documenting incidents, observations, and daily activities in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by communicating respectfully with personnel and visitors and reporting security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess a Virginia DCJS license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
