Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Payments Business Analyst to join their team. As a Payments Business Analyst, you will be part of the Payments Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and a collaborative mindset.

Location: Hybrid (Charlotte or Jersey City, with 3 days onsite hybrid work)

What's the Job?

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to payment processes.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and process flows to facilitate clear communication with technical teams.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure business requirements are accurately understood and implemented effectively.
• Analyze current payment processes and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and compliance.
• Support system integration efforts by understanding application functionality and data movement between systems, including APIs and data flows.

What's Needed?

• 35+ years of Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst experience within the payments domain.
• Strong experience with payment systems such as ISO 20022, RTP, SWIFT, Wire Payments, and Payment Clearing & Settlement.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams, translating complex concepts clearly.
• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and data flows, with no coding required.
