Welder/Fabricator | $20-$28/hr | Growing Manufacturing Company | Beckley, WV

A well-established manufacturing company in the Beckley, WV area is seeking skilled Welders/Fabricators to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on custom metal fabrication projects in a clean, safety-focused manufacturing environment. Candidates with strong blueprint reading skills and experience with welding and fabrication equipment are encouraged to apply.

The Welder/Fabricator will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating metal components, and performing high-quality welds to support production operations. This individual will work closely with team members to ensure products meet quality standards and production schedules.

• Perform MIG and/or TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, and cutting tools.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy.
• Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other precision tools.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety and quality standards.

Required:

• 2+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to use measuring tools and perform accurate layout work.
• Proficiency with MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

• Experience fabricating structural steel, industrial equipment, or custom metal products.
• Welding certifications.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum fabrication.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaver, WV.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
