We invest in our employees with competitive benefits and engaging events, creating an environment where talent is valued, celebrated, and inspired to grow.We are seeking a polished, organized, and guest-focused Banquet Supervisor to support the execution of private events, meetings, receptions, and member functions while upholding the exceptional service standards of the Missouri Athletic Club.Banquet Supervisor Responsibilities* Support the Catering & Events Management team in the planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of private events and member functions.* Supervise banquet service staff during events, ensuring service standards, timing, and event specifications are executed according to the Banquet Event Order (BEO).* Serve as the on-site point of contact for assigned events, providing professional and attentive service to hosts, members, and guests.* Conduct pre-event staff meetings to review event details, service expectations, timelines, and special requests.* Monitor event flow and coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, and Bar teams to ensure seamless execution.* Assist with room setups, table arrangements, audiovisual requirements, and event readiness to ensure all spaces meet MAC standards.* Ensure banquet rooms, service stations, and event spaces remain clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout events.* Lead and support Servers, Bartenders, and Support Staff while providing coaching and direction during service.* Assist with training and onboarding banquet staff, reinforcing service standards, procedures, and event execution expectations.* Complete post-event responsibilities including room resets, event notes, and communication regarding service successes or opportunities for improvement.* Ensure all event spaces are returned to established base settings and presentation standards following each function.* Support managers with administrative responsibilities including BEO review, event documentation, and operational reporting as needed.Banquet Supervisor Qualifications* 2+ years of banquet, catering, hotel, restaurant, or private-club supervisory experience preferred.* Strong understanding of banquet service, event execution, and private dining operations.* Ability to read and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) with exceptional attention to detail.* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and develop service staff.* Exceptional communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced event environment.* Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules based on event needs.* A hands-on leadership style and a commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality and memorable member experiences.Preferred Experience* Private club, luxury hotel, or upscale banquet experience.* Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service standards.* Experience with event management systems, reservation platforms, and banquet operations software.The Banquet Supervisor plays a key role in delivering the elevated, personalized experiences that define the Missouri Athletic Club, ensuring every event is executed with professionalism, precision, and genuine hospitality.
