Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients in a critical access medical setting. Works independently and supervises others as delegated, ensuring adherence to department policies and physician orders.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and document the appropriateness of prescribed respiratory therapies and make recommendations accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Administer aerosol, oxygen therapy, and draw arterial blood gases following physician orders.
  
  
• 
  Manage and provide care for ventilator-dependent patients.
  
  
• 
  Maintain accurate records of treatments, generate documentation for billing, and ensure compliance with policies.
  
  
• 
  Participate in training, supervision of new employees, and department operations.
  
  
• 
  Ensure up-to-date certification and licensing requirements are maintained.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a current Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential.
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid State Respiratory Therapist license in Oregon.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications; ACLS preferred.
  
  
• 
  Have at least two years of recent clinical respiratory experience.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in documentation and use of electronic medical records, such as EPIC.
