Registered Nurse - Trauma Orthopedics

Role: The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care during patients' hospital stay, assessing, managing, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams using a patient-centered approach. Responsibilities: Conducts thorough assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans based on data and standards, and implements nursing interventions. Collaborates with healthcare team members, administers medications, documents care, and educates patients and families. Recognizes and responds to changes in patient condition, manages specialized care such as restraints and pain, and ensures safety and infection control practices. Maintains effective communication, provides high-quality service, and participates in performance improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold an active RN license in the relevant state, with required certifications such as BLS. Demonstrates professionalism, adaptability, teamwork, and commitment to safety, quality, and patient dignity. Completes mandatory training and adheres to hospital policies. Prioritizes effective communication, respectful interactions, and continuous learning. Key Duties: Performs patient assessments, formulates and updates care plans, administers treatments, documents accurately, and involves families in care decisions. Provides age-appropriate, cost-effective care and contributes to unit and hospital performance improvement.
