Registered Nurse - Clinical Float - Medical/Surgical

Role: The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool provides comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units, assessing, managing, and coordinating patient care during hospitalization. Responsibilities: Conducts thorough assessments, develops and evaluates individualized care plans, administers medications, and documents interventions. Collaborates with healthcare team members, communicates effectively, and ensures patient safety through infection control and fall prevention measures. Provides patient education, discharge planning, and specialized care for high-risk patients, including restraint and pain management. Maintains professionalism, adheres to policies, and fosters a respectful environment for patients and colleagues. Qualifications & Skills: Current RN license in applicable states, BLS certification, strong clinical skills, flexibility, teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to safety and infection control standards. Demonstrates accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. Key Duties: Perform assessments, establish care plans, coordinate interventions, document accurately, educate patients and families, recognize changes in patient condition, and contribute to performance improvement activities.
