Summary:
In this role Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse under general supervision renders professional specialized care and support to patients undergoing cardiac procedures during the intra-operative phase. In doing so possesses a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology a strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and ability to scrub cardiovascular procedures. Performs pre-operative assessment of the patients’ condition administers prescribed medications provide treatments observes patients’ progress records pertinent observations and report reactions to medication and treatments. CVOR Nurse ensures compliance with all infection control policies and standards. Assist physicians with examinations and prepare instruments and equipment for physicians’ use.

Education:

• Associate's degree in a Nursing Program from an Accredited School of Nursing

Experience:

• 3+ years of RN Operating Room experience 
• 1+ year of CVOR experience 

Credentials:

• State of FL RN license 
• American Heart or Red Cross BLS and ACLS (current)
