Job Title: Maintenance Electrician Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and equipment within an industrial production environment. You will work as a maintenance technician with a strong electrical emphasis, diagnosing issues in electrical cabinets and control systems, and ensuring that production lines operate safely and efficiently. While this is not a PLC programming position, you will use your understanding of sensors, motors, switches, and ladder logic to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical problems quickly.

• Troubleshoot electrical cabinets and control-related equipment to quickly diagnose and resolve issues on the production line.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams for effective troubleshooting and repair.
• Use a multi-meter and other diagnostic tools to test circuits, components, and power supplies safely and accurately.
• Build, modify, and repair electrical cabinets and related control panels to support reliable production operations.
• Apply electrical theory to analyze power supply issues and ensure proper functioning of 3-phase and other electrical systems.
• Work safely with electrical systems up to 480 volts, following established safety practices and procedures.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair sensors, motors, switches, wiring, and other electrical components used in industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components as part of overall maintenance responsibilities.
• Collaborate with multiple team members, including other technicians and production staff, to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and findings to support continuous improvement and reliable operation of the production line.

• Strong electrical background with a primary focus on troubleshooting industrial equipment and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and ladder logic diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
• Ability to use a multi-meter and other standard electrical test instruments safely and effectively.
• Comfort and competence in building, modifying, and repairing electrical cabinets and control panels.
• Solid understanding of electrical theory, power supply systems, and 3-phase electrical distribution.
• Capability to work safely with electrical systems up to 480 volts, adhering to established safety practices.
• Knowledge of industrial sensors, motors, switches, and overall control system operation at a troubleshooting level.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing issues on high-speed or continuous production lines.
• Hands-on skills in electrical wiring, repair, and preventive maintenance within an industrial setting.

• Experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, ideally with food or similar production.
• Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with the ability to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to work effectively within a team, sharing information and collaborating to solve complex technical problems.
• Comfort working in a large, fast-paced organization with multiple production lines and ongoing maintenance needs.

The role is based in a food manufacturing facility with an industrial production setting. The environment is non-climate controlled but generally temperate, and you will work around production machinery, electrical cabinets, and control systems. Expect a hands-on, shop-floor atmosphere where safety procedures are followed closely and where collaboration with other technicians and production staff is part of daily work.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Mill, SC.

The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $74880.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Mill,SC.
