Additional Compensation: Performance-based bonus + negotiable commission 

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on IT Sales Manager to drive new business development and revenue growth in the U.S. market.

This position currently focuses on developing new corporate clients for IT staffing and engineering staffing services. The successful candidate will identify prospective clients, understand their technical staffing needs, propose appropriate staffing solutions, and develop long-term business relationships.

At the same time, the company plans to expand its business in system development, ERP implementation, system integration, Cloud, infrastructure, and other IT solution areas. The person hired for this position will have the opportunity to help develop these services and introduce them to new and existing clients as the business grows.

This is not solely a people-management or high-level strategy position. We are looking for a player-manager who can personally conduct prospecting, build a pipeline, meet with prospective customers, prepare proposals, negotiate business terms, and close new accounts.

Key Responsibilities

IT Staffing and Engineering Staffing Sales

• Develop new corporate clients for IT staffing and engineering staffing services

• Identify companies with current or future needs for engineers and other IT professionals

• Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and other channels

• Meet with prospective clients to understand their technical requirements, hiring challenges, project needs, and business objectives

• Present appropriate staffing and workforce solutions

• Coordinate with recruiting, delivery, technical, and operations teams to support client requirements

• Build and maintain long-term relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders

• Identify additional business opportunities within existing client accounts

IT Solutions and Business Development

• Support the company’s future expansion into system development, ERP implementation, system integration, Cloud, infrastructure, DX, and related IT solutions

• Identify client challenges that may be addressed through IT consulting or technology solutions

• Work with technical teams and affiliated companies to develop appropriate proposals

• Create opportunities to cross-sell IT staffing and IT solution services

• Contribute to new service development and U.S. market expansion initiatives

Sales Strategy and Pipeline Management

• Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales plans

• Build and maintain a healthy new-business pipeline

• Manage sales activities and opportunities using Salesforce or a comparable CRM system

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data

• Monitor sales activities, conversion rates, win rates, average deal size, and sales-cycle length

• Use customer and market information to improve prospecting and sales strategies

• Provide regular sales reports and updates to management

Leadership and Collaboration

• Serve as a hands-on sales leader while personally managing new-business opportunities

• Share effective prospecting and account-development practices with other team members

• Support the coaching and development of sales team members as the organization grows

• Collaborate with recruiters, engineers, project teams, management, and affiliated companies

• Coordinate effectively with both Japanese- and English-speaking stakeholders

Key Performance Indicators

Performance may be evaluated using a combination of the following:

• New corporate clients acquired

• IT staffing and engineering staffing revenue

• IT solution sales revenue

• Annual and quarterly sales results

• Pipeline growth and pipeline coverage

• Number and quality of new sales opportunities

• Sales forecast accuracy

• Proposal-to-contract conversion rate

• Client retention and account expansion

• Average contract value

• Length of the sales cycle

Required Qualifications

• Seven or more years of B2B sales experience in IT staffing, technology services, IT solutions, SaaS, Cloud, system development, or a related field

• Demonstrated experience developing new corporate clients through proactive prospecting

• Experience personally managing the sales cycle from lead generation and initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and closing

• Strong pipeline-management and sales-forecasting experience

• Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform

• Ability to develop client relationships at multiple organizational levels

• Native-level Japanese-language proficiency

• Business-level English-language proficiency

• Ability to communicate effectively with both Japanese and U.S. business clients

• Ability and willingness to perform hands-on sales activities in addition to strategic planning and leadership responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Sales experience in IT staffing, engineering staffing, technical recruiting, or workforce solutions

• An established network among Japanese companies in the United States

• Experience selling system development, ERP implementation, CRM, system integration, Cloud, infrastructure, DX, or IT consulting services

• Experience creating a new market, territory, service offering, or client base

• Enterprise or mid-market sales experience

• Experience working with technical, engineering, recruiting, or project-delivery teams

• Sales-team leadership, coaching, or formal management experience

• Experience developing sales KPIs, playbooks, forecasts, and performance reports

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced and proactive new-business developer who is comfortable selling IT staffing services today while helping the company expand its IT solutions business for the future.

This person should be able to balance immediate revenue-generating activities with longer-term business development. The successful candidate will be willing to perform day-to-day prospecting and client acquisition while also contributing ideas for system development, ERP, system integration, and other technology services.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of $100,000–$120,000 + Commission 

• Compensation negotiable based on relevant experience

Work Arrangement

This position is primarily remote. However, candidates must be located in or able to work within the New York area and attend in-person meetings when required by business or client needs.
