Administrative Assistant (10-Month)

LOCATION:
Career and Technical Education (CTE); 3200 S. Clare Ave, Clare, MI


REPORTS TO:
Director of Career and Technical Education


SCHEDULE:
10-Month school year position following the district calendar;
Monday - Friday; 8 hours per day


STARTING WAGE:
According to the MEA Contract. $14.92 per hour, or higher - based on actual years of experience


STARTING DATE:
As soon as possible


JOB OBJECTIVE:
This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Career and Technical Education (CTE) front office and provides administrative support to the CTE department. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment for students, families, staff, visitors, and community members while supporting the day-to-day operations of the department. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and regular and reliable attendance.


QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency required; additional coursework or training in administrative support preferred.
• Proven experience as an administrative assistant or secretary, preferably in an educational setting.
• Experience with State of Michigan reporting systems (including MI Third Party) preferred.
• Experience or familiarity with the Career and Technical Education Information System (CTEIS) preferred.
• General familiarity with Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs preferred.
• Proficiency in office software, databases, and relevant technology tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
