Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) with charge experience to join our dedicated team. This position requires a flexible candidate to float between units, work weekends on a rotating basis, and provide exceptional care in a critical access hospital environment.

Shift Details

Type: Night 3x12-Hour Shift (19:00 - 07:00)
Weekends Required: Yes (Rotating)
On-Call Required: No
Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 5 Patients

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of charge experience required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (NRP preferred)
Experience with Epic charting system preferred
Familiarity with diverse patient demographics, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Daily Census: Approximately 16 patients

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive care to patients experiencing a wide range of medical conditions
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
Provide emergency care and support, including advanced life support, triage, and management of critical conditions
Assume charge nurse responsibilities and oversee nursing staff on shift

Special Requirements

Commitment to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Must be willing to float between sister facilities as needed
