Job Summary:
The healthcare provider is seeking a Certified First Surgical Assistant for a travel assignment in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves supporting cardiac surgical procedures in a busy cardiovascular operating room. The position offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team on complex cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG, valve repairs, TAVR, and thoracic procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift from 7:00AM to 5:00PM, approximately 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA), Certified First Assistant (CFA), or Specialty Certification in Surgical Assisting (SA-C); at least 2 years of open heart first assist experience; location in Salt Lake City, Utah; and a minimum of 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in cardiac surgery and familiarity with procedures such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, and thoracic surgeries will be prioritized.
• Additional Information: This assignment is a 13-week rotation involving weekend and on-call duties, rotating every third weekend and weekday. The unit has 2.5 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms (CVORs), and the hospital requires adherence to unit policies and guidelines. Weekend and on-call rotations are part of the schedule.
